Third settlement of Goshen Valley in Utah County, settlers moved from Sandtown where blowing sand and poor conditions had them looking to build town elsewhere. Mechanicsville once again proved unhabitable and they moved to Lower Goshen. We were unable to get within a 1/2 mile of the site as the surrounding area is all marked private property.
